Genghis Con hits the road this weekend for Word on the Street 2023

It is decidedly fitting that Genghis Con, our graphic novel that spends many pages on the road, now finds itself at Toronto’s Word on the Street Festival.

The 2023 edition of the venerable show in Toronto is this weekend, May 27 and 28, and takes up the entire stretch of Queen’s Park Crescent East between College Street to the south up to Wellesley Street West to the north—with a little of Grosvenor (the “s” is silent) Street in the mix as well. Jump off the subway at Museum or Queen’s Park station and you’re there!

Check out all the 2023 Word on the Street Festival information here.

We’ll be at Booth 86A in the Indie Alley section of the festival. Here’s a handy map with our section noted by a red oval:

Now, as some of you may recall, Genghis Con made something of its soft-launch debut at WOTS back during the pandemic, when the event was online only. That was a nice (if remote) experience, so it is with great pleasure not only to be back at the festival with our book, and titles like Point Man and Seven Strange Stories, but also to be in the actual, literal street. It’ll be a dang block party!

On that note, we’re hoping the weather is good and you—yes, you!—can come out for a stroll along Queen’s Park. We’ll be there with a smile and a story to tell!
